Trying to figure out what your readers are really looking for is an ongoing challenge. And while we can use the Google keyword data and information to figure out what to write about, there’s another, more specific tool that will help you as your website starts to get visitors.
The Psychic Search plugin works with the built in search functionality of WordPress and saves or catalogs all the searches that are conducted within your site. Along with this, and probably most importantly, the plugin will indicate what terms lead to actual results on the site, and those that don’t, and for the latter, it’s a good indicator that you should probably cover those keyword topics in some upcoming writings. After all, and as always, one of our main goals is to give the reader what they’re looking for.
You can check all of the results from the plugin in your admin area, but you can also check a box to have reports emailed to you periodically and that’s usually the option I go with.
And here’s more good news. The Psychic Search plugin is easy to configure, as in there’s rally nothing to set up, and it’s free.
Below you’ll find a short video that covers some of the data that the plugin will capture and how you can use it to create better content for your readers.
